GROWTH AND DEMAND

Statistics from the construction sector provided by the Agency of Statistics in Kosova (ASK) indicate that in 2023 a total of 2,341 construction enterprises were registered, with 283 new registrations recorded only in the fourth quarter of the year. This reflects the continued importance of the construction sector in Kosovo’s economy, despite fluctuations in the number of active enterprises.
In 2022 alone, a total of 177 building permits were issued in the capital city of Kosova. This reflects a surge in construction activity and signals robust development prospects within the sector.
Projections suggest that Kosova will require approximately 60,000 new apartments in the next five years, including associated infrastructure such as roads, parks, schools, recreational facilities, and restaurants. This demand underscores the significant growth potential in Kosova’s construction industry.
